Hannah Koenker, PhD MPH

Hannah Koenker is the founder and CEO of Elliris. She was previously the Project Director for the PMI-funded VectorWorks Project at the Johns Hopkins University Center for Communication Programs (JHUCCP). She has fifteen years’ experience in public health, and ten years designing and implementing malaria prevention and control activities with a focus on improving ITN access and ITN use through innovative continuous distribution channels. She is the co-chair of the VCWG LLIN Priorities Task Force. She has led research in ITN care and repair, and designed comprehensive ITN strategies in Tanzania, Ghana, and Mozambique. Her current work focuses on designing, implementing, and evaluating continuous LLIN distribution strategies, conducting research on ITN use and ITN durability, and evaluating the impact of behavior change activities on malaria-related behaviors. She has an MPH from Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health and a PhD in Epidemiology from the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute in Basel, Switzerland.
